How do I get my free t-shirt, Slack invite, etc?

What is Slack?

Slack is messaging app our members use to chat - about Gimlet, podcasts, and life! There are many rooms (called channels) to organize the conversation. For example there are channels for each Gimlet show, local channels, and even cats.

Along with email, we use Slack to send news and updates to our members in the #announcements channel. We also host AMAs with Gimlet hosts, producers, and more in the #ama channel.


Exclusive Content

How do I find members content?

Member-exclusive content is distributed a few ways to make sure you don't miss a thing! We send all exclusive content and updates to your email. We also send any notifications/updates in Slack. Lastly, we have an archive of all content at members.gimletmedia.com, so you can find anything you've missed there!

What's an AMA? How do I participate?

AMAs (Ask Me Anything) are your opportunity to talk to and ask questions with Gimlet producers, hosts, executives, and more. Previous AMA participants include Gimlet's sound engineers, Nazanin Rafsanjani (VP of New Show Development), and Aaron Mark (Creator and author of The Horror of Dolores Roach).

AMAs are held in the #ama channel in Slack, so you just need to be there at the time of the AMA to participate! If you can't make it live, we will also provide an opportunity to submit questions before the AMA. Just check your email and/or Slack to stay up-to-date on upcoming AMAs.

No, annual members only get a t-shirt upon sign-up.
